Read MoreThe hardest part about landscape photography, at least I think, is getting up early. Its even harder to wake up when you look out the window and see gray overcast clouds everywhere thinking you wont get a good image.
But, its important to force yourself up out of bed anyway and walk out into the cold. All looks terrible when suddenly the sun comes through the clouds, creating beautiful contrast in the landscape, the dark clouds with glorious light bursting through.
Just because the day looks gloomy in the morning doesn't mean its going to stay that way. Amazing images happen unexpectedly and in the end, photography is (to a degree) a numbers game.
As you may or may not know Utah will get these heavy snow storms around spring time. The locals jokingly call it a “second winter”. Since I have not been busy with landscape photography this winter, this may be my last attempt to get some winter images for the season. Winter landscapes will pretty much always create some amazing scenes, all you you to do is step outside and capture it. This is a regular vlog with nothing special, just me making landscape images in the snow.
This is my first Vlog of my adventure in the Uinta National Forest. I hiked to Kamas Lake to capture Hayden peak at sunset. I was able to capture two images, while not portfolio worthy they were nice to share on social media
